One More Time For the Kids In the Back-Søster Severson's Adventures in Esbjerg Denmark October 11, 2021 Week 77

 WOW LAST weekly that's WEIRD 

This has actually been a really good week, we were over in Odense for the Angela Brower Concert. We had a fun time helping make food, setting up, and then putting on our white shirts and ties. Yep sisters in white shirts and ties... it was a look. 
BUT we had a lot of fun talking to people and listening to the concert even though it was freezing cold. 
The next day Angela gave a devotional for just the missionaries and sang a few more songs. It was really cool! We heard about transfers and Sister Kjar is headed to Odense!! They are putting Elders in Esbjerg! 
Most of the rest of this week was us meeting with some of our friends and members organizing things and saying goodbye. 
I am genuinely SO SAD to be passing off all of my tech work. I know I'm leaving it all in good hands but it's like my BABY. But it's ok, hopefully I'll be able to do something with everything I've learned. 

Spiritual thought this week is just my testimony/gratitude for these last 18 months. I can't even express how grateful I am to have been able to serve and love the people of North Carolina and Denmark, both places will always have such a special place in my heart. I know that God exists and that he is a loving creator and our father in heaven. I know He sent his Son Jesus Christ to earth to atone for us. His sacrifice helps me become more than I am. I am grateful for a gospel and a faith that encourages me to look outside of myself, serve, and change the world around me.

Hej!!! This week has gone by so fast!! We found 3 new people to teach and had 2 sacrament meetings. (Basically member present at a lesson on a Sunday... thanks CoVid) but so exciting!!!  Low of the Week: Facebook and Ward office computers, both have been making our lives incredibly difficult, we spent two hours trying to edit and post a ten minute video for our areas Facebook Page. High of the Week: We had a lesson with a recent convert outside, it was crazy hot and humid but we got to meet his German Sheppard puppy #blessings #GodisGood My favorite part of being in North Carolina has definitely been the people. I know it is what every missionary says but like the people here are just the best!!! They are so faithful and just LOVE Jesus so much. It shouldn't be so surprising to me that people outside the Church love God but I guess I didn't know many religious people outside of the Church before I came out. DENMARK COPENHAGEN MISSION!

AHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHH!!!!!!!      I AM SO EXCITED! When I woke up this morning I kept telling myself that it would be ok if my call didn't come today or wasn't to where I expected. BUT IT DID COME AND I'M SO HAPPY!      As I was praying this morning I felt an overwhelming feeling that it wouldn't be somewhere I was expecting but that it would be absolutely where I am supposed to go. So when I opened it up and I saw Denmark it just felt so right! It checked every box I had, and didn't know I had.      Good weather that leans more chilly, likely lots of Gluten-free food available, friendly people, there is a temple in Denmark, I get to learn a language (for the most part immersion except they all speak English... guess we will just have to work extra hard on Danish), and it's just like a super cool place?!?!      So I get to learn DANISH! Intermission week 1

      Wow these past few days have felt so unstructured compared to the MTC- But I forget how much I need recharge time so it has been good to be able to find new ways to fill the time.       Our last few days in the MTC were kind of crazy- we had a teaching appointment like everyday and we said goodbye to our teachers way too quickly. Part of me felt like 'yes ok I am ready to be done with this', but the other part was like 'ahhh wait I still understand nothing and can't say anything waittt'! Getting released was also weird too, mostly just because I thought I would feel different but I felt the exact same and I was like ahh I feel guilty watching netflix I'm a missionary, wait no I'm not... why do I still feel guilty? Luckily that passed and I just feel calm now.       I don't think I realized how much pressure and anxiety I was putting on myself to be perfect and to be the best missionary right now .
