1 week, 2 areas, 3 companions-Søster Severson's Adventures in Sønderborg Denmark, Feb 8, 2021 Week 42
Hej med jer!!!
It has been a fantastisk, sindssygt week her in Den Danske Mission! 9 of our missing missionaries arrived!! Wooohooo!!! We pray every night that Søster Murphy Murri, Williams, Taylor, og Scott and Ældste Croft can all make it here soon!! #forstærkninger
This week was a lot of fun though. I had to say goodbye to Søster Carter so she could go be our #sisterAP up with Sørensen. Sad day. But I was with Søster Paras (yes pronounced exactly like Paris, someone on the street said it must be destiny we were together)!!! She is the oldest sister in the mission and has beautiful Danish which was the biggest help ever!
We spent the first half of the week here in Sønderborg in the freezing cold. We got mad snow here so tracting in a blizzard got me feeling like a hard core old time missionary. I think it was the fact that no one wanted to talk to us too... butttt then we headed down to Nykøbing Falster because Sister Paras is opening it as a sister area and it was so sick!! I would love to serve down there. Took way to many pictures #oops. The Danish was also for sure way easier to understand too, sorry sønderjysk you will always have my heart but you're a beast to learn.
After a few days in Nykøbing we took back up to København to pick up the new sisters!!! And I am with SØSTER ENGELSK!!! I called it a couple weeks ago but somehow I just new Sister English would be joining me here in Sønderborg so I am over the moon. She is a super obedient, super diligent missionary, and she has beautiful Danish already and knows wayyy more vocab and grammar than me so #blessings. We are planning on hitting it way hard with the dansk this transfer and I am way excited!!!
Besides that, we are just chillin in quarantine like bosses for the next 6 days.
One thing that I love from this weeks Come Follow Me was the story of Martin Harris losing the 116 pages. The Lord knew that Joseph and Martin would mess up and he had prepared a plan of mercy. He had instructed Nephi to make and keep additional records, and even though the Lord did not provide an explanation- he was obedient. Likewise, when we were sent to earth the Lord knew we would mess up. He prepared the ultimate plan of mercy for all of us. Through the obedience of Jesus Christ its is ok the we aren't perfect. God always provides a plan of mercy to all his children, no matter their choices or their circumstances.
Love you all!! Please keep sending me updates I love hearing how everyone is doing!!
Søster Severson
I am so happy that you and my daughter get to serve together! ❤️
