Hurricane Isaias- Søster Severson's Mission Adventures in Fayetteville, NC Week 15
Hej!!!
Not sure exactly when this will get sent out but I
am actually writing this on Saturday because on our usual P-day
(Monday) we aren't allowed to leave our apartments! Yay Hurricane
season!!! Hurricane Isaias is headed our way. Kind of exciting. I didn't get official weather while in Hawaii, but I don't mind a good storm. Either was this 'week' was really good!!
It
was sad to say goodbye to friends with transfers but I guess that is
just part of the miss and now we get to meet and make new friends!!
Facebook
has been keeping us super super busy, they have started running ads on
our pages which means we get a LOT of crazy incoherent people spamming
us but that's how you find the elect I guess ?
We
made a list of all the countries around the world we have met/ contacted
people from through Facebook. Promises fulfilled that we would be
teaching people from around the world!!
Nothing
much new to report- little bit jealous of the sisters who just made it
to Denmark but mostly just so pumped for them to be out there speaking
danish and putting those reassignment skills to the test!!
Spiritual
thought: This week I was thinking a lot about what it means to 'take
upon us the name of Christ and always remember him'. It has certainly
taken on a new meaning having his name literally on my chest as a
missionary. (Even if it is, as one Elder kindly pointed out, 'spelled
wrong'... mange tak for det). My companion and I were trying to decide
what it practically means to 'always remember him'. I decided that to me
it means living my life in such a way that my nature becomes constantly
trying to progress and becoming like Him. I would like to hear how
everyone else has tried to "remember him always", email me and let me
know!!
