Hej! This week was busy and great. Taught lots of lessons, did splits with the STL's, had in person District Meeting in Fredericia, and got locked out of our apartment. More about the last one.... We are pumped about our fredikritus Instagram account, and we're already at more than 100 followers! Sister English and I are living the missionary dream. This transfer, we've been running some mornings.  Thursday as we got closer to our apartment, and the whole "wait, do you have the keys?" thing happened. Neither of us had keys, so we sat outside the building for 45 minutes till someone let us in. So cold! My nose was pink for hours.... After dreaming of hot chocolate, we opened the cupboard to find a leftover stash. God is good! Current Danish rules say we need a Corona tests ever time we meet in person, but this week we almost ran out of time. Miraculously, our friend needed to go to work early, so we ended our lesson and followed the road signs to a testing site. N

Well it has come to my attention that actually a lot more people than I thought  read these things so I will try and make them slightly more entertaining!  This week was good!!! We are doing a 40 day fast from things that distract us right now and some of the things we have decided to give up are:  - sugar (RIP sweets/candy at least)  - naps during meal times  - casual Facebook scrolling  So I replaced that with reading Saints during meal times and finished the entire first book in a week. So apparently one can be a lot more productive if one only stays awake long enough to do something about it. Shocking revelation.  WE MADE AN INSTAGRAM!!!  Yes you heard that correctly, Den Danske Mission decided to make an Instagram and for some reason they are letting Sister English and I be in charge of it... we are way too hyped. So please hit us up with any and all favorite quotes and scriptures we can use on our page!!  @ XXXXXXXXXXXXX  fredikristus We also ACTUALLY had a good day of contactin

Hej! This week was filled with splits! We met up with the Sisters from Odense, where Hans Christen Anderson was born. Here in Sønderborg we hosted the Esbjerg Søstre. Always good times working with the best Sisters. We were also hosted by the Vestergaurd family for dinner. I love these guys! Reminds me why it is so great to be Danish.  Søster English and I will be staying here in Sønderborg for another transfer, and we are excited to keep things rolling. The Danish keeps improving, and District Danish lessons are God's way of keeping us humble. Grateful to be working with so many great ones! "Are you willing to let God prevail in your life? Are you willing to let God be the most important influence in your life?" President Russell M. Nelson. In Danish we simply say " Lad Gud RÃ¥de" translated means "Let God Influence." I'm always happiest when I allow the Lord the space to change me, and set myself on His path. He always knows best. Med kærlighed,

Strengths & Weaknesses-Søster Severson's Adventures in Sønderborg Denmark, March 8, 2021 Week 46

Hello friends!! What have we done this week? Fantastic question, I could not answer because it was not an incredibly interesting week but here were some things I learned:  - going on walks with strangers is like playing Russian roulette with people who live in Sønderborg. We posted an ad asking if anyone wanted to go on a walk with us and we have met some pretty weird but also some super super awesome people because of it! - teaching English makes me realize what weird things I do when I speak. Hearing other people try to pronounce English words makes me realize what a weird accent I have? Also we only hear American English from other Missionaries so we hear more international people speaking English than natives right now which is kind of funny.  -I use "like" as a filler word in Danish ha-ha oops, our DL pointed that out and I hadn't even realized I was doing it my California girl is just too deep... we will work on that this week haha Something else that I realized t

Primary & Youth of the Moraga Ward Announcements-Søster Severson's Adventures in Sønderborg Denmark, March 1, 2021 Week 45

This past week I was asked to create a video of my companion and I singing "I want to be a missionary now" in Danish. My Mom said the kids had a blast tapping their sticks to the music. I guess it's my first primary music video. lol This next one is my advice to the youth of the Moraga ward. I think it's for the 16 year old class? I guess I've learned a lot over these past few years. Sorry kids, the high school years are rough. But there is always hope and faith that God has a plan for each of us. I testify He loves us more than we know. Love Søster Severson
