Søster Severson's Mission Adventures Week 14 "Uge 6"

Hej Alle!!! It has been another awesome week in NC! Here are some of the highlights: - Cape Fear River!! Sister Butler and I were able to go hike to Cape Fear, a river that my ancestors owned property on which was super fun!! We got muddy and very sweaty- please enjoy the pics.  - Bag Pipes! We were over at the church last tuesday trying to schedule Facebook posts and suddenly a bunch of people start showing up with drums and bagpipes?? Apparently it is a community bagpipes band idk why but cool! -Interviews with President! I was stressed but the Hendersons are so awesome, their philosophy is 'quiet obedience' 100% here for it. He asked if there was anything he could do for me and I was like pray for the consulates to open and he said yeah same (the Henderson's are only here temporarily until the Morras who are coming from Australia can get visas so we really all are out here praying for the same thing)  - First Transfer Training!!! I have a lot to learn lol S

Hej!!!  It has been an absolutely insane week- not even sure where to start. We've been doing a bunch of service and yard work, had our first in person district council and again have been doing a lot of former and Facebook work.  Absolute Highlights of the week though were Paula and Janani. We got Paula on date for baptism!! It was so cute we asked her if she would be baptized and then she was like " ...sure" and then she was like "yes I mean YES!" Haha she is so sweet and her testimony and love of God is so pure. Every time we meet with her she just lights up our day.  Other highlight of the week is Janani!!! The most adorable girl from India, we've been able to video call with her twice and she is just the literal cutest person. We were able to get into contact with Elders in India and did a lesson with her and them that was... hardcore. Basically we have been teaching Janani really slow and trying to ease her into the idea of the Book of Mo

Soster Severson's Mission Adventures Week 12, Love of the People in Fayetteville, North Carollina

Hej!!! This week has gone by so fast!! We found 3 new people to teach and had 2 sacrament meetings. (Basically member present at a lesson on a Sunday... thanks CoVid) but so exciting!!!  Low of the Week: Facebook and Ward office computers, both have been making our lives incredibly difficult, we spent two hours trying to edit and post a ten minute video for our areas Facebook Page. High of the Week: We had a lesson with a recent convert outside, it was crazy hot and humid but we got to meet his German Sheppard puppy #blessings #GodisGood My favorite part of being in North Carolina has definitely been the people. I know it is what every missionary says but like the people here are just the best!!! They are so faithful and just LOVE Jesus so much. It shouldn't be so surprising to me that people outside the Church love God but I guess I didn't know many religious people outside of the Church before I came out. I just deeply admire the hope and faith the people here ha

Hej!!!! Hope everyone had an awesome Independence Day!!! Not a ton happened this week but here are some highlights: 1. Meals with Members!! We can now eat outside with members so we had 2 dinner appointments this week. Both were really fun and also reallllyyyy awkward.  2. Zone Conference!! Super fun! We got to meet President and Sister Henderson the new mission president. They are so cute!! The actual zone conference was nice but it was rough because it was a billion degrees and we had to wear our masks the whole time. But it was probably for the best since we were outside right next to a garbage treatment plant...  3. Exchanges! Exchanges are where you switch companions with one of the young missionary leaders for 24 hours so they can train you. So Sister Butler headed up to Cary near Apex and I got to be companions with Sister Clark for 24 hours down here in Hope Mills!!! It was super fun! Also super scary/ stressful to be in charge of the SIM card for our area- lots of
