A very Merry Danish Christmas to you all!! Glædlig Jul!! This week was *quite* exciting.  We finished quarantine just in time for Julaften!! Super sejt. Got to go out and contact and knock doors for the first time, which was super fun. Of course because it's the holidays and freezing cold and raining no one has wanted to talk to us. But it be like that sometimes. We keep trying.  Danish Christmas was pretty lit, they celebrate on the 24th (Julaften) so we went over to a member family's house and they made us traditional Danish dinner, which was delicious. We also love the Danes because most of what they eat is already gluten-free #win. Then we did a present parade where you put all the gifts in one room and then form a chain and pass them to the front room to put them under the Christmas tree. Then they sent the kids (and us lol) out while they light the tree. I thought they were just turning the lights on. But nah, they put full real candles on it. Then we came out and held h

Hej hej!!!  I guess I will start out by apologizing for not telling anyone I was going to Denmark... lol sorry! Four of us Sisters made it over here which means we still have 12 waiting- so exactly half of the danish sisters are in Denmark and half are in the states!!  We found out that we would be coming the day before I was transferred to Cary so the last two weeks have been a good time, definitely not a long time, and I was literally SO SAD to leave the NCRM. I think when I first got reassigned I didn't want to let NC feel like my home or my mission because it wasn't where I was originally called. But after I realized I would probably be there for more than half my mission, I finally let myself get attached and invested in the people and it was so worth it, I fell in love with the NCRM but it made saying goodbye so hard.  It has definitely been a weird couple days transitioning from the NCRM to Den Danske Mission. 263 to 36 Missionaries was a leap. My last area in Cary was

Sister's Sorority & Biking Most Improved! Søster Severson's Adventures in Cary, NC December 14, 2020 Week 34

GODMORGEN!!  Jeg hĂĄber, I alle har haft en god uge!!  This week was pretty great- highest complement I've received since I've been in the field is that my biking skills have improved these last few weeks. Wow. (Probably a lie but also maybe no?? I think I'm getting better?)  This week was weirdly long and super short because Sister Burnham is leaving :(( rip the sorority squad.  We had an awesome mission tour with Elder Aidukaitis (yeah I don't really know how to spell or say it either) but he was so awesome!! He got us super hyped about extending invitations and commitments!! Commitments help get people ready for Covenants!! They are so important! He challenged each zone to have 150 lessons this week, so that plus our #MaryCary200 district goal meant we had like 15 lessons this week. SĂ… SJOVT!  Most of this week though was a lot of biking and service it was a lot of fun. We have done service almost every day and every single time it's been raking leaves?? Why Nort

Wow has it been a week!! I got transferred and am now just outside of Apex in Cary which is super awesome!! It reminds me of my home ward so it's like the twilight zone serving in Moraga/Cary.  BUT it is super fun and super cool. Only slightly intimidating to go from the boonies of mission to the heart of it with all the big shot leadership people like uhhh hi sorry I dont know what I'm doing here either. I was also asked to be a facebook admin again which means we are over like the APs and Tech Specialists and Office Elders so we get to boss them around when it comes to Facebook. But honestly Facebook admining is a lot of fun, only slightly extra stressful.  I am in a trio right now because Sister Burnham is going home in six days so I was brought in to help finish Sister Burrell's training (which is funny because shes been out a week longer than me but shes a historic site Sister so she hasnt finished training yet, she is also going to take over admining whenever I leav
