Cycling Through the City of Cary! Søster Severson's Adventures in Cary, NC Dec 8, 2020 Week 33
Wow has it been a week!! I got transferred and am now just outside of Apex in Cary which is super awesome!! It reminds me of my home ward so it's like the twilight zone serving in Moraga/Cary.
BUT it is super fun and super cool. Only slightly intimidating to go from the boonies of mission to the heart of it with all the big shot leadership people like uhhh hi sorry I dont know what I'm doing here either. I was also asked to be a facebook admin again which means we are over like the APs and Tech Specialists and Office Elders so we get to boss them around when it comes to Facebook. But honestly Facebook admining is a lot of fun, only slightly extra stressful.
I am in a trio right now because Sister Burnham is going home in six days so I was brought in to help finish Sister Burrell's training (which is funny because shes been out a week longer than me but shes a historic site Sister so she hasnt finished training yet, she is also going to take over admining whenever I leave). But the best is that we also live with the Hermanas in our district which is SO fun going from living with one other Sister to four. It's like a sorority house but Sister Clyde and Wells are the best!
Also because our area is like 8miles across we are a full BIKE area (which is a lot of fun because it's super hilly and I havent ridden a bike in like years lol) But I think it's good training for Denmark because I know they bike a lot there.
Spiritual thought for the week comes from the Living Christ, we were challenged to memorize part of it and this was my favorite section from the part we had to memorize:
"And now, after the many testimonies which have been given of him, this is the testimony, last of all, which we give of him: That he lives!"
I love this reminder that the most important part of the birth of Christ is the fact that he still lives. His suffering, death, and resurrection are what give us the chance to live again. What better testimony can we share this Christmas season than the simple testimony and declaration that we know He Lives!
Dansk: rejse-trip, festhus- party house, dårlig dansk- bad danish
Love you all and hope everyone is enjoying this Christmas season!! Remember to #LightTheWorld
