Sister's Sorority & Biking Most Improved! Søster Severson's Adventures in Cary, NC December 14, 2020 Week 34

 GODMORGEN!!

Jeg håber, I alle har haft en god uge!!
This week was pretty great- highest complement I've received since I've been in the field is that my biking skills have improved these last few weeks. Wow. (Probably a lie but also maybe no?? I think I'm getting better?)
This week was weirdly long and super short because Sister Burnham is leaving :(( rip the sorority squad.
We had an awesome mission tour with Elder Aidukaitis (yeah I don't really know how to spell or say it either) but he was so awesome!! He got us super hyped about extending invitations and commitments!! Commitments help get people ready for Covenants!! They are so important! He challenged each zone to have 150 lessons this week, so that plus our #MaryCary200 district goal meant we had like 15 lessons this week. SÅ SJOVT!
Most of this week though was a lot of biking and service it was a lot of fun. We have done service almost every day and every single time it's been raking leaves?? Why North Carolina has SO many leaves to rake I am not sure... but let's just say uge learned some mad skills from the past few weeks.

Spiritual thought of the week comes from the passage that we were asked to read to prepare for our mission tour. We were asked what we can learn from the story of the widow of Zarephath who was asked by the prophet Elijah to give up the last of her food to feed him, a stranger. He was bold on behalf of the lord in asking her to sacrifice the absolutely last of her food that she had prepared to eat with her son and die, for him. But he promised her that in doing so she would be blessed, "And Elijah said unto her, Fear not; go and do"
I love this story because it gives me confidence in committing people to make changes. When we extend commitments as Missionaries we ask people to do some really hard things, we ask them to change their entire lives based on faith. But if we aren't bold in asking, then we prevent them from receiving the blessings and protections that come from living the gospel. So be bold because it is on behalf of the lord!!

Pictures!! Sorry theres a bunch basically just the squad + some danish elves hope you enjoy!!

Love you all!!
