To Stay/Become Patient ❤🇩🇰 Søster Severson's Adventures in Hope Mills, NC Oct 12, 2020 Week 25
Hej Alle!!
Hope everyone has had an awesome week!! Not a
ton to report on, we had a pretty low key week until this weekend when
our car broke down. Sad day.
We had the Elders
come and jump it and then we drove to the car place, and were there for a
few hours until they told us they had to order a new battery and they
had to keep it over night. So we started walking home only to get
#caught by one of our stake presidency members who was absolutely
appalled that we would even consider walking home so him and his wife
picked us up and got us thai food #blessings.
We
also survived transfers!! Sister Wing and I are sticking together here
in Hope Mills for another seven weeks. Because things got so shaken up
last transfer pretty much everyone is staying put for now, which we are
fine with.
We have also met some super sweet
members and had to say goodbye to some of our favourites. It's weird
serving around so many young military families because they come and go
so fast and it's so hard to see them go!!
Most
tragic thing that happened this week was I lost the English tag I got
eight days ago... smh Heavenly Father just knows how much I want to be
speaking danish.
Spiritual thought / cool danish fact:
The
word for "become" in Danish is "blive" but it is also the word for
"stay". I realized how ironic it was when I was praying for patience
this week to hear about transfers and said "jeg bede dig om at du vil
hjælpe mig blive tålmodig" guess I need to both stay/become patient! But
I liked that because sometimes we need to renew our commitment to
things we are already doing. Even when we are patient/kind/loving we can
always work on becoming more of whatever we already are.
