This week was quite a good one! Here are some of the highlights:
-new mission president!! #5 !! Going strong, President Mattsson is awesome, they are in our ward so we got to meet them on Sunday and I am super excited to work with them!
- sketchy book of Mormon drop offs!!! When some creepy old man started messaging Sister Williams we were like whatever, but then he asked to meet up and get a copy of the book of Mormon. Sister Williams was convinced we were going to get kidnapped so we had the elders come with us... ended up being a super chill old man who probably just doesn't understand technology. He showed up to church on Sunday too, we didn't even get to talk to him because our ward mission leader was on him the whole time haha
- STL splits!! Sister Carter and I were together here in Lyngby for the day. She was my companion when I first got to the land six months ago. It was so crazy talking, and seeing how much we have both changed since then and being so close to the ends of our missions it was just wack. LOVE her though and it is always so fun to serve with her!
- in person district council!! (Aka zone conference) super fun to see the peeps, love these missionaries so much oh my goodness
- service!! We had service with the Ballerup elders after DCM, we found matching shirts someone was giving away in the church so of course we had to wear them. It was super fun though! The family we did service for is half American half Danish so there was a fun mix of Danish, English and German (...courtesy of Ældste Jaursch og Ældste Langmann, never really fair when they can pull that one on us)
- got permission from the new MP to watch the football game between Denmark and Czechia with our bishops family. Definitely a cultural experience wow. Apparently if they make it to the finals the whole mission gets to watch so everyone be praying for Denmark 🇩🇰
We have also a more sure word of prophecy; whereunto ye do well that ye take heed, as unto a light that shineth in a dark place, until the day dawn, and the day star arise in your hearts:
Knowing this first, that no prophecy of the scripture is of any private interpretation.
For the prophecy came not in old time by the will of man: but holy men of God spake as they were moved by the Holy Ghost. [2 Peter 1:19–21]
This scripture was quoted in a BYU devotional I was listening too about prophecy, I liked the comparison to light. Prophecy or revelation isn't shooting in the darkness, it is actually seeking or uncovering light and truth that has not yet reached our present moment. If we listen and follow the Holy Ghost, we too can become aware of God's plan and prophecy for us.
