Giggling with Norweigians-Søster Severson's Adventures in Ballerup Denmark July 26, 2021 Week 66
It has been a good week!!! SUPER BUSY!
I am now in the area right next to where I was serving for 4 weeks, and am with the crazy talented Sister Scott and we are THRIVING together!!
We are the tech specialists over the entire mission so we are in charge of the mission Instagram and Facebook pages, making editing, delegating and scheduling content, giving trainings, literally just everything related to technology. Right now we are beta testing Instagram before the whole mission gets it, so yes if you've seen me on the IG, I'm back ;) buuutttt I won't be responding to DMs and probably all my posts will be in Danish hahah sorry!
We had a call with all the other tech specialists in Europe and then a private call with Norway to talk about technology work and questions and help we need in our respective countries. It was SO much fun and got us SO hyped. We had the Norwegian elders pray though at the end of the call and Sister Scott and and I could NOT stop laughing because Norwegian is just the most hilarious version of bouncy simplified Danish ahahhaha.
But yeah this week has been a ton of tech work, we've been down to Frederiksberg (downtown københavn) a whole bunch for pass off lessons. Oh and we got 10 new missionaries!!! They are BABIES and we love them and oh my goodness they are so confused ahaha it's precious.. super weird that some of these elders are going to be here for the next two years dang.
Spiritual thought: good 'ol C.S. Lewis quote:
"No man knows how bad he is until he has tried very hard to be good. A silly idea is currently that good people do not know what temptation means. This is an obvious lie. Only those who try to resist temptation know how strong it is. After all, you find out the strength of the German army by fighting it, not by giving in. You find out the strength of the wind by trying to walk against it, not by laying down. A man who gives into temptation after five minutes simply does not know what it would have been like an hour later. That is why bad people in one sense, know very little about badness. They have lived a sheltered life by always giving in."
Much love as always,
Søster Severson
