Jumping for Joy! Søster Severson's Adventures in Sønderborg Denmark, April 13, 2021 Week 51

Last night we drove up to Fredericia to spend the night, and we'll stay again tonight. Thursday is my one year mark of mission service, and today I will visit the heart of my mission for the first time. I want to do our amazing day justice, so stay tuned.

In the meantime, I sent these pictures of Sister English, Hoffman, Taylor and I working on our jumping skills. We happen to be doing splits in Sønderborg, and we thought a little jumping would do the body and mind good. “Now, what do we hear in the gospel which we have received? A voice of gladness! A voice of mercy from heaven; and a voice of truth out of the earth; … glad tidings of great joy” (D&C 128:19).

Friends, faith, nature and the opportunity to invite others to share the joy I have found in the gospel of Jesus Christ.

 This past week I was asked to create a video of my companion and I singing "I want to be a missionary now" in Danish. My Mom said the kids had a blast tapping their sticks to the music. I guess it's my first primary music video. lol This next one is my advice to the youth of the Moraga ward. I think it's for the 16 year old class? I guess I've learned a lot over these past few years. Sorry kids, the high school years are rough. But there is always hope and faith that God has a plan for each of us. Fasting and Counseling in the Woods-Søster Severson's Adventures in Ballerup Denmark August 30, 2021 Week 71

  Hej! Today we met with Peter, a friend who had met with the missionaries a while ago. He had been taught most of the lessons, but it had been a minute since any missionaries had met with him. We weren't expecting anything revolutionary from our visit, as he hadn't asked to be baptized right away. But as we met, I became more intent on listening. I began to feel the spirit of truth through our discussion, and I was honestly touched by Peter's testimony. God hears and answers our prayers. A favorite scripture comes to mind in Matthew 6:6 "But thou, when thou prayest enter into thy closet, and when thou hast shut thy door, pray to thy Father which is in secret; and thy Father which seeth in secret shall reward thee openly. " I'm always surprised when someone reminds me of something I'm supposed to be teaching them. Sister Severson's Mission Adventures 4th of July in Fayetteville NC Week 11

Hej!!!! Hope everyone had an awesome Independence Day!!! Not a ton happened this week but here are some highlights: 1. Meals with Members!! We can now eat outside with members so we had 2 dinner appointments this week. Both were really fun and also reallllyyyy awkward.  2. Zone Conference!! Super fun! We got to meet President and Sister Henderson the new mission president. They are so cute!! The actual zone conference was nice but it was rough because it was a billion degrees and we had to wear our masks the whole time. But it was probably for the best since we were outside right next to a garbage treatment plant...  3. Exchanges! Exchanges are where you switch companions with one of the young missionary leaders for 24 hours so they can train you. So Sister Butler headed up to Cary near Apex and I got to be companions with Sister Clark for 24 hours down here in Hope Mills!!! It was super fun! Also super scary/ stressful to be in charge of the SIM card for our area...
