The Spirit Can Teach Us! Søster Severson's Adventures in Hope Mills, NC Week 28

Hej! Jeg håber at I er godt!! Kind of a #roughweek here in the NCRM for me.

Basically had a ton of members #gluten me, so I was super sick. Det var IKKE sjovt. But I am not dead yet and we did a lot this week. So here are some highlights!!!

- Exchanges!! So much fun!! I got to hang out with Sister King here in Hope Mills for the day, we had a super fun meal with a part member family. Both the husband and wife are from CA and speak Arabic, wow the goal. We went to seminary and talked about how the Book of Mormon is essential for conversion.

- Zone Conference!! Also a ton of fun, always good to see the other Missionaries. We got some awesome trainings from our APs and President Maurer and talked about how we can be effective during these Covid times.

- We helped one of our favorite members move which was a sad day :(( but helping her out was a ton of fun a couple member families showed up and they were the best. Highlight of the week was when Bro. Shakespeare was helping the Elders lift a couch into the moving van and his 10 year old daughter comes up to tell him one of her brothers is walking on a broken log or something. He just goes "uh Hannah I'm a little busy right now" and she goes "ok fine. But if your son dies, it's on you." It was just absolutely savage and iconic. I hope my children have personalities like the Shakespeare kids. Our idols.

Dansk!! Jeg lærte at jeg hader ordforråd. Tbh words just don't stick in my brain I have to rely on Søster Clark and her Duolingo wizardry but I did learn couch in Danish is just sofa so that's nice.

Spiritual thought! One of my favorite things we talked about in our zone conference is about how the spirit can teach us things even if they weren't explicitly said. We talked about how important it is to record your impressions because that is inspiration for you in that moment. Something I "learned" or heard that wasn't specifically said was I need to be better at listening to the spirit. Something I love Sharon Eubanks said is "revelation is a process." We have to be continually seeking and refining our ear to better hear and learn from the spirit. What has the spirit been teaching you recently?

Love y'all and hope you're all doing dandy!
