Hej!!
Undskyld for no letter last week friends, basically the last three/ four weeks have been one big fat groundhog day. For some reason the past two weeks we have had to stay inside for a couple days (for the election because they were worried about riots and then this week because of flash flooding). So we have been doing the same things over and over and over again :)
We did have some slight variation this week:
- We had presidents interviews which were a great good time. Absolutely love the Maurers they are the bomb.
- Had a ton of lessons fall through.. not really that different from most of the time but did meet some cool people. Felt the gift of tongues when we were talking to some SOUTHERN southern people and Sister Wing could not understand them because of their accents. To be honest I hope I pick up at least a little bit of an accent.. it will probably just be a Utah one though because I'm surrounded by missionaries from there.
- Got to go do some service on a members farm helping them put up a fence. Smacked my self in the head with one of the metal fence posts though and gave my self a goose egg. Probs not concussed though so it's fine. (This is the same members house/ fence that I got electrocuted by last time we were there)
- Learned one of our bishopric members is (according to his wife) "an arms dealer" and is in charge of purchasing all the "bullets bombs and rockets" used by the U.S. army's special forces. He was also telling us some good stories about when he was a tank gunner... cool dude.

Spiritual thought: We were able to join our ward in watching the Face to Face broadcast with the Young Women's general presidency and it was absolutely awesome. It reminded me of the power of service and charity in lifting others and in lifting ourselves. They shared the new youth theme song for 2021 and this is the first verse:

1.There is a work to do

that’s been prepared for you

long before the world was made.

You have the strength you need

to cross the stormy seas

that you will find along the way.

He is your refuge from the storm.

And you will never be alone

I just loved that reminder that the work and path that we have been given was specifically prepared for us. God has trusted us with the challenges that He has because he knows we can handle them. (Still trying to feel that about #groundhogday over here but I I that looking back I will know why I needed to be here, now.)
Also reminder to everyone to tune into President Nelson's FACEBOOK LIVE Friday at 10:00am CA time, 11:00am UT, and 1:00 NC !!! Super excited to see what he has to say to the world :)

Dansk: We heard our visas might end up taking 6 months instead of 3 so we love that. Probably never going to get there but it's fine. Can anyone say groundhog day?
Did learn the word for "bottom" (nederst) just means down-est... jeg elsker dansk så meget.

Love y'all and hope you are finding ways to be well.
