God is Aware of Us, and He Loves Us Søster Severson's Mission Adventures in Fayetteville, NC Week 20
Hej Alle!!!
Undskyld
til alle missionærerne!! Apparently none of you have been able to read
my emails because Maas blocks the blog links so sorry! I am alive and
doing well!!
This week was pretty awesome! Had
a whole bunch of Dansk calls and did a lot of listening to Mormons Bog!
We have been doing a lot of memeber work and memeber lessons which are
always so fun! I love the members here they are just the absolute best,
they are so faithful and so kind! We also had Zone Conference and got to
hear from President and Sister Henderson who are the best! They talked
about happiness and reminded us that God is aware of and loves us!
Sunday
was the best because it was my first Sunday at church as a missionary!
It was very strange to go back, only about 30 people showed up and we
were all socially distant and in masks. But the spirit was there and you
could tell everyone was so grateful to be able to come back even if it
was only for a short time and we couldn't visit with anyone. We love
church!
For those of you asking for an update on Denmark, still no news :( keep praying for us though we haven't given up hope!
Spiritual/ Danish thought (double!)
I
think I have mentioned before that the danish word for repentance
(omvendelse) means literally to turn about. But it gets better!
Omvendelse is also a reflexive verb which means you can only do it to
yourself. Only you can repent and chose to be better. But once again it
gets even better! Omvendelse is also the word for conversion! So when
someone converts to the church they are repenting! I loved this this
week because it reminded me that we are the only ones who can turn
ourselves to God.
