An Exciting Week! Søster Severson's Mission Adventures in Fayetteville, NC Week 19

 Hej Alle!

This week has been kind of crazy!! Honestly can't remember most of it but here are some of the highlights (and low lights lol) that I do:

- Sissy's Baptism!! It was so special to be able to see Sissy get baptized! She was so happy and excited and the spirit was so strong!! Being there reminded me of how  important baptism really is, the power that comes from making covenants or promises with God, and the peace and joy that comes from knowing you are doing exactly what he wants you to be!

-Interviews with Prez Henderson !!
Because I don't really have problems to talk about we mostly just chatted and he told me some stories about his Son in law in the State Department. Good reminder and motivation!!

-Danish calls!! Had 3 danish calls this week which was awesome!! I still feel like a child but I hope I am making progress ahha. One of the calls was a group called with a bunch of the other reassigned sisters from different MTC groups so it was super fun to meet everyone and practice some dansk!!

- Creepy men (the lowlight) we have had a lot of friendly but like slightly creepy men try and befriend us. We have had to pass two of them off to the same Elders in our zone (haha sorry guys goodluck...) Another of them though was from the Philippines and when we called him to try and teach him he just giggled at us for like 10 minutes while we tried to teach/ get to know him so we just hung up.

Spiritual thought!
Something Sister Butler and I had a conversation about that sunk deeper in this week was the importance of scripture. How amazing is it that we have books written by God's servant that plainly teach us how to become like him??
One of my favorite parts of the Book of Mormon is part of a conversation between the prophet Jacob and Sharem.

Jacob 7: 10-12
10 And I said unto him: Believest thou the scriptures? And he said, Yea.
11 And I said unto him: Then ye do not understand them; for they truly testify of Christ. Behold, I say unto you that none of the prophets have written, nor prophesied, save they have spoken concerning this Christ.
12 And this is not all—it has been made manifest unto me, for I have heard and seen; and it also has been made manifest unto me by the power of the Holy Ghost; wherefore, I know if there should be no atonement made all mankind must be lost.

I know that the Book of Mormon and scriptures "truly testify of Christ" and witness that he is our Savior and Redeemer. I am grateful for the power that I have allowed them to have in my life and for the wisdom and influence of leaders and teachers who have helped instill in me a deep love of them.

Dansk: frelser og forløser (savior and redeemer). Jeg ved at Jesus Kristus er vores frelser og forløser!
