Søster Severson Week 10 Fayetteville (Fayettenam) Raleigh North Carolina Check In
Hej!!!
So I have officially been in the field for a
little over a week!! Haha so weird. But it's been super good! We do a
whole bunch of contacting through facebook and have had a lot of success
reaching out to people missionaries have taught in the past.
I
was super frustrated with facebook finding this week though because
there are so many different groups and so many missionaries in them
already... its pretty easy to tell if a comment is another missionary
and its just like hey hows the work going? Slow? Yeah us too. But we
have been able to have some conversations with some really random
friends so that's cool.
We have been doing a whole
bunch of member lessons and the members here are SO cute!! They all
have accents and are all in the military and only want to feed the
Sisters so we love them... sorry poor starving Elders... we gave them
three grocery bags of leftovers. Haha we are so spoiled.
We
did have a hiccup yesterday when we tried to reach out to a recent
convert Matt, who was baptized a little less then a year ago. But all he
wanted to do was bash and tried to make us feel like we were just
stupid. It's hard not to engage but it really does drive away the spirit
and profits no one. Sorry Matt we know the book of Mormon is true and
God loves you though!
We had to say goodbye to President Holland and his wife though yesterday :( sad but excited to welcome in the Hendersons!
Kind
of a dry content sorry folks- but it's actually been a really great
week! I love being here and being a missionary- it's frustrating at
times but being able to help others feel the spirit and come closer to
god is so rewarding!!
Spiritual
Thought: God is your Loving Heavenly Father!!! This was something we
were studying this last week and even made a scripture study on our
facebook page about. But so much of our doctrine stems from this simple
truth that God is our father and he loves us! I know that because he
loves us he prepared a plan to help us become like him. How have you
felt God's love in your life this past week, I would love to hear about
it!!
Dansk Ord: verdensomsoændende= world that exciting, or worldwide!!
