HEY Y'ALL
Finally made it to North Carolina!! It is so beautiful here!!!! I came here with a bunch of other missionaries who were in the MTC about the same time so it was fun to talk to them about Online Training and Reassignment together.

Friday morning we met our trainers- my trainer is Sister Butler she is from Idaho and so much fun!! We get along really well and have a very similar approach to missionary work and life.

Got to meet President Holland for the first and last time on Friday also. We had a training with him and it was so powerful to hear him speak to us. He's so much like his dad it's so fun. He leaves next Monday though, but it was fun to meet him and his wife they are both adorable and I am grateful to them for their service.

Our area is called Hope Mills in the Fayette Zone about and hour and a half south of Raleigh. We are the only sisters in our zone but it's fine. All the Elders are pretty cool we haven't interacted with them a ton though. But it is so cute everyone has accents and all the houses are so funny! I don't know why but when I got here I thought it was hilarious that all the houses have shutters. like why?? I don't think anyone uses them but they are there on almost every house. Its humid here but definitely not more than Hawaii. My hair is doing fine with it thank you for asking mom. Some nice members who own a hair school dropped off some nice hair stuff.

The work is slow here- we aren't actively teaching anyone mostly just Facebook finding. I got blocked from a christian women's Facebook group though :( I think they could tell I was a member of the church and were like nope lol.

We have been meeting with a bunch of members though. They are so sweet here!! They bring us food and the Crowther family even brought us a gluten-free chocolate cake!!! So sweet!!! Our lessons with them are always super powerful and I feel like I have learned so much from them about faith and trusting in the lord.

Spiritual Thought: In our training with President Holland he challenged all the new missionaries to bear their pure and simple testimonies. It was powerful to be so near the temple and hear so many missionaries testifying of Christ. Send me your simple testimonies I would love to read them!!
I know that Jesus Christ is our Savior, he lived a perfect life and gave a perfect sacrifice so that we, who are so imperfect have the space to grow, learn, and become like him. I know the Book of Mormon is the word of God translated by his prophet Joseph Smith. And I know that as we repent, are baptize, and follow on the covenant path we can return to live with God again.
