Two Months Later...
So um first semester is going by ridiculously fast, like it's already November. Wild. A lot has changed and a lot has happened, that I am most likely going to forget about if I don't write it all out now so here we go:
1. Social Life: Essentially non-existent, the group I was hanging out with at the beginning of the semester ended up like coupling up so I dipped out still love Liberty and Ashley as for the rest of them- they're still super nice but I just don't hang out with them anymore. Luckily my roommates and I get along really well, Claire, Kayla, Sarah and I have hung out a bunch as roommates and Elliette and Annie from the room down the hall are also super cool.
2. Academic Life: Really good, I still have a few midterms to take this week that I am stressed about but I'm doing really well in all of my classes. I also have all my classes for next semester- significantly less cool (I decided I should take math here because it will probably be easier here than at Provo). Hopefully though I can do really well in them and leave Hawaii with high grades and high (ish?) spirits.
3. Spiritual Life: Super good! I haven't been going to the temple as much as I would like to, but my classes and Ward callings have built me up in a different way. Getting in the habit of reading my scriptures in the morning instead of at night has been strange but good.
As for life plan changes, for a hot month I was fully ready to ditch out on the State Department plan and become a religious studies professor. But then somehow I focused back in and we are once again (for now) committed to the FSO (philosophy/arabic) plan. It was funny once I stared thinking about the State Department again it was like I woke up and now a lot of time is gone and I have absolutely no clue why I'm taking Biblical Greek??? Or why I'm still going to take it next semester??? Should I take it? At this point I am just very confused. Studying Religion and Philosophy are not out of the running yet so I'm sure it will have it's place in my life.
The next couple weeks are probably going to be crazy, but basically I have two and a half weeks until my family gets here. They're here for a week, then I have two days of class and finals and then I go home. However fast the next five weeks go I'm sure that the break will go 300x faster.
Here's to me hopefully remembering to write more on here!
