T HE WEEK: - some awesome lessons with some awesome friends!! Literally my favorite part of being a missionary is teaching (oh you all thought it would be talking to strangers on the street?? Hmm *shockingly* it is not)  -sisters conference!!! aka a party with my favorite people on the planet ! It was amazing to be able to see all the sisters in Jylland, they are all such gifted Missionaries. We had a training on unity and I felt so clearly each sister's desire to be a part of the mission. Even though all of us were trained differently we all have that same desire to make this mission into something special. The sisters here really are something else. (We will see if the Elders can keep up;) -splits!!! So much fun to see sister carter again and so much fun to hit the streets with Sister Sørensen. We ran into a bunch of people here for winter break from sjælland and their Danish sounded super funny to me lol thanks Sønderborg. But we had a good time and visited some formers so it wa...

A Very Boring Quarantine-Søster Severson's Adventures in Sønderborg Denmark, Feb 15, 2021 Week 43

Probably the most boring week of all time lol. We were stuck inside all week on quarantine but that's ok we still had some highlights!!  1. District Danish classes lollll our district is 3 sets of double reassigned sisters and one set of Elders so President asked our district leader to help us out with our Danish. So now we have district Danish classes twice a week and a "private tutoring" once a week. But it has actually been super helpful and our DL is mad good with grammar so hopefully we will just be fluent by the end of this transfer or something.  2.  Covid tests!!! Woooohoooo! Meant we got to go back up to Herning the most cursed place to serve in Denmark. Not actually but pretty much as random as you can get. President told us to go all the way to Herning (2 hours away??), and then say we were American tourists who didn't have Danish health cards... little sketchy but we got to see Esbjerg so it was ok. McDonalds with Sister Clark always makes it worth it....

1 week, 2 areas, 3 companions-Søster Severson's Adventures in Sønderborg Denmark, Feb 8, 2021 Week 42

Hej med jer!!!  It has been a fantastisk, sindssygt week her in Den Danske Mission! 9 of our missing missionaries arrived!! Wooohooo!!! We pray every night that Søster Murphy  Murri, Williams, Taylor, og Scott and Ældste Croft can all make it here soon!! #forstærkninger  This week was a lot of fun though. I had to say goodbye to Søster Carter so she could go be our #sisterAP up with Sørensen. Sad day. But I was with Søster Paras (yes pronounced exactly like Paris, someone on the street said it must be destiny we were together)!!! She is the oldest sister in the mission and has beautiful Danish which was the biggest help ever!  We spent the first half of the week here in Sønderborg in the freezing cold. We got mad snow here so tracting in a blizzard got me feeling like a hard core old time missionary. I think it was the fact that no one wanted to talk to us too... butttt then we headed down to Nykøbing Falster because Sister Paras is opening it as a sister area...

This week was super super crazy!! Too much to properly report on but here are the highlights!! - Annabell is getting baptized!!! - We made friends through English class!! Super super fun!! Love getting to help people and it makes me realize what a funny language English is! - Met up with Sister Clark og Skousen!! 5/6 with meeting up almost every week, pretty legendary.  - Said bye to Sister Carter, so so sad but it's ok because she is an STL so I will see her again soon for splits.  Spiritual thought of the day comes from Doctrine and Covenants 6: 14 "Verily, verily, I say unto thee, blessed art thou for what thou hast done; for thou hast inquired of me, and behold, as often as thou hast inquired thou hast received instruction of my Spirit. If it had not been so, thou wouldst not have come to the place where thou art at this time."  When we talk about personal revelation and being guided by the Lord it is so important to remember He has led you to each place and pat...
